Blancpain

Blancpain was founded in the 1700s, but the organization foundered in the mid-twentieth century. The organization was revitalized in 1983, and craftsmen began producing expertly crafted mechanical watches based upon a design utilizing uncomplicated round cases and mechanical movements. An ambitious program of producing timepieces with complications followed.

The Blancpain signature is it's moon-phase indicators and exquisite gold cases. Blancpain watches are not assembled on a production line; each watch is carefully built by Blancpain craftsmen. Approximately 10,000 watches are built each year and movements are obtained from Frederic Piguet. Blancpain prides itself on never offering a quartz watch and has no intentions to ever do so.

Currently, Blancpain revolutionized the watch industry with the redesign of there classic 50 Fathoms model.  The current model now has a sapphire bezel and the size has increased to 44mm.
